Light Carpentry

soffit, carpentry, roofing, roof, repairs, northern virginia,va,md,maryland, potomac, fairfax, springfield, warrenton, manassas, lortonWhile installing a new roof, siding, or gutter guards on your home, it is not uncommon for previously-unforeseen damage to be found. Maybe a section of roof decking – unseen until the shingles have been removed – has started rotting away as a result of a prior leak. Squirrels and other animals are notorious for gnawing through trim work or fascia boards, trying to get out of the cold and into your nice, warm attic.

So, when you find that you also need light carpentry work as part of your home improvement project, who do you call? Other roofing companies may have to outsource the carpentry to another company. Do you really want yet another contractor – one that you have not vetted – to work on your home? Worse yet, do you want a roofer without the proper credentials to just wing it themselves? Or do you go out to the Web to find a carpenter to come to your home? Few contractors would be able to come out on such short notice, let alone for such a relatively small job. clip_image004_0015

Reviews on our Carpentry Division:

Project was led by Mark, a knowledgeable, conscientious, and professional carpenter.  The team not only replaced rotted and insect-damaged wood, but also corrected deficiencies left by contractors who had done repair work many years ago.  New boards were installed correctly so as to allow unimpeded airflow from the soffits; fascia boards were installed so as to minimize a problem in the roof design, and gutters were reinstalled at a more appropriate height and angle for the roof.  Additionally, the team sealed holes which had allowed wasps and other pests to make their homes in the attic.
The team worked hard and kept me informed about the work that they were doing. I was very pleased that Mark was able to identify and correct improper work done by a previous contractor.  The team left the premises clean and free of all debris.
I was very pleased with the work performed by Mark and his team, and would hire them for any additional work in a heartbeat.” via Angie’s List-Daniel. Reston, VA. 11/21/13.
