The ulti­mate day­light­ing expe­ri­ence, the GDL CABRIO™ bal­cony roof win­dow opens to cre­ate a roof bal­cony, trans­form­ing unused attics or above-garage bonus rooms into extra­or­di­nary liv­ing space that embraces the best of the outdoors.

A bal­cony in dis­guise When closed, the CABRIO looks like two roof win­dows joined togeth­er.  All of the mate­ri­als used in VELUX man­u­fac­tur­ing process­es are non-haz­ardous. The wood used to make our sky­lights comes from 100 per­cent cer­ti­fied mills.

Instant bal­cony Inte­grat­ed ban­is­ter rail­ings auto­mat­i­cal­ly appear when the low­er win­dow is opened.

The sky’s the lim­it Install mul­ti­ple CABRIOs for even more sun­shine and flow­ing space.

Exclu­sive dual sash oper­a­tion The top sash opens for max­i­mum ven­ti­la­tion and also piv­ots inward for easy clean­ing from inside the room. The bot­tom sash opens out­ward to cre­ate a roof balcony.

Con­ve­nient ven­ti­la­tion When the GDL CABRIO roof win­dow is closed, a ven­ti­la­tion flap can be opened to pro­vide a breath of fresh air ― even if it is rain­ing outside.

Ener­gy effi­cient glass for added safe­ty and ener­gy effi­cien­cy The GDL roof win­dow comes with lam­i­nat­ed insu­lat­ed glass only.

The GPL roof win­dow lets you expand or trans­form upstairs space such as attics, above-garage bonus rooms and loft areas into beau­ti­ful liv­ing areas filled with day­light, out­door views and fresh air. Designed to be installed with­in reach, the GPL roof win­dow opens to pro­vide max­i­mum ventilation.
